They also use system of silvopasture, where forests are thinned instead of cleaned out.

With the help of livestock they are able to establish grasses, shrubs, as well as wild flowers and herbal plants, mimicking the wooded savannahs of pre settlers days, where large herds of bison and other herbivores thrived. This environment is like animal heaven. Livestock have a robust variety of plants and brouse on with access to shade or wind break at any time.
